PAR Associates political training covers a number of areas of expertise involved in political campaigning. You will need to be familiar with each of these areas and how they work together to result in a successful winning campaign. You will be introduced to each of these areas in the PAR Associates Challenge Training.
Are You Ready to be a Candidate — Will review your work, family, goals and time commitments and assess your readiness to run for office.
Researching and Data Collection — Will cover what information and data you need to run a successful campaign, and the people, places and tools that will help you can find that information.
Leadership and Organization — Will look at campaign leadership, staffing and organization exploring what skills you need on the team, where to find them and how to organize them.
Starting Up Your Campaign — Will formally setup your organization (Political Action Committee or PAC), appoint a treasurer, and begin your list building for the kitchen cabinet, staff, donors, and volunteers that you will need on your campaign.
Creating your Story and Message — Will develop your personal story and message that will resonate with your voters, and attract volunteers, staff and donors to your campaign.
Message Communication — Will determine where, when and how you will deliver your story and message to your voters. The communications strategy covers all forms of contact with the voters: door to door, calling, texting, house parties, public events etc.
Digital Media Communications — Will explore the important area of digital communication with your voters that is playing an ever increasing role in campaigns today and how to integrate them with the more traditional forms of direct voter contact.
Writing Your Campaign Plan — In the final session, you will use the information you learned in prior sessions to prepare a written plan for how you will win your election.
